The inaugural issue of the Journal of Gadamer Studies is now live!
Volume 1, issue 1 features an essay by Gadamer on the poet Hilde Domin translated by Lucas Gronouwe and Alexander Crist as well as articles exploring themes such as the hermeneutics of prayer (Nicholas Davey), Gadamer’s notion of Gebilde (Dan Tate), a case for Gadamer’s metaphysical hermeneutics (Jean Grondin), hermeneutics and the immediacy of experience (John Arthos), and Gadamer’s dialogue with Parmenides (Marco Montagnino).
Also included is a book symposium on The Event of Meaning in Gadamer’s Hermeneutics (commentaries by Robert Dostal and Csaba Olay and responses by Carlo DaVia and Greg Lynch) and Chaz Holsomback’s review of Carolyn Culbertson’s new book, Gadamer and the Social Turn in Epistemology.
